Setup and mounting

Spread tripod legs fully and set tripod on level surface

Grasp pan head lever and rotate upward to place pan head in horizontal position.  Rotate lever clockwise to lock pan head

Locating objects and focusing

Loosen pan head lever (turn counter clockwise) and turn the spotting scope in the direction of the object to be viewed  When scope is aligned with the target object, tighten pan head lever.

Look into eyepiece and rotate focusing ring (either direction) to focus object clearly.

Care and Storage

When not in use store your spotting scope with the protective caps on, in a moisture free environment.  Avoid touching the lenses as the oils and salts on your hand will smear them, making clear focusing impossible, and the salts will destroy the coating.

To clean the lenses, use a soft haired brush to whisk loose dust and dirt particles away.  Finalize cleaning by using a soft cloth (included).
